Katie, a freelance video editor in desperate need of work, receives a high-paying offer to edit a mysterious and strange video from an anonymous employer. Being in a difficult financial situation and under threat of eviction, Katie happily agrees to this job. The video shows how people are interrogated and even killed on camera – undoubtedly, this is just a carefully staged fiction. But when the first job leads to even more lucrative work and more frighteningly realistic snuff films, Katie’s life begins to crumble. Strange figures in her apartment, terrible nightmares that keep her awake, and a mysterious illness that afflicts her cat. Only when Katie finally decides to quit her job does she find out how cruel her anonymous employer really is, and what bloody measures she is willing to go to in order to break her contract.
